If you want to get started with SMS without engaging in software development, Spirius have the solution. Mail [telephone number]@mail-sms.se and we can configure Mail2SMS to accept incoming email from your server and convert them into SMS on your account. You need to have your own mail server to use the service outgoing email -> SMS.

Send mail from any email client to mail address [MSISDN]@mail-sms.se, which forwards it as SMS messages. It works only from own known mail servers, not gmail or hotmail.

When running large SMS campaigns, it can be difficult to know if all subscriptions are active. With Spirius Network Lookup, you can easily find out if a number has a subscriber and which network a specific subscription belongs to.
Network Lookup specifies the operator's network code (MCCMNC) or the Service Provider ID (SPID) from SNPAC (Sweden only). This is essential since many mobile numbers are ported, meaning you cannot identify the network based solely on the phone number prefix.
You access Network Lookup via the Spirius API.

Sweden gives the Service Provider Identity code (SPID) from the Swedish SNPAC register (Swedish Number Portability Administration Centre AB).
Basic provides the network code (MCCMNC) by HLR lookup and also gives you the status of the subscription.
Advanced provides both operator code (SPID), the network code (MCCMNC) and the status of the subscription.
